Comments: The Girl On The Train is an intriguing thriller, with a stand-out performance by Haley Bennett. I have always found it best to read source novels after seeing movie adaptations, so I will have to check out the Paula Hawkins book soon.

  1. While some people say you have to read the book before seeing the movie, like you I’d rather see the movie first. Then, while you’re watching the movie you’re not looking for everything that’s missing, and then when you read the book, you’re like, “Wow, there’s all this great additional stuff!”

    • Yes, exactly! The book becomes an extended and alternate version. Plus, you can often hear some of the characters’ thoughts, learn more about them, etc. Of course, some adaptations are better than others. Thanks for commenting.
