Blu Dreams: Star Wars Ultimate Saga Edition Blu-ray Set

This summer, Lucasfilm fan relations head Stephen Sansweet shifted the Star Wars rumor mill into high gear by remarking that the company has been “looking at” the possibility of a Blu-ray release for the film series.

“I can say with pretty good confidence that at some point in the next several years there will be a complete set of Star Wars movies and lots of extras and deleted footage and anything anyone could want,” he went on to say. (See the full interview over at Star Wars Examiner.)

While his statement may not amount to much more than assuring us fans we will get some kind of a Blu-ray boxed set by the year 2017, it did start me thinking about what I would want to see in a Star Wars Ultimate Saga Edition Blu-ray set.

If Sansweet handed me the keys to the vault, here is the kind of Blu-ray release I would create for you, folks. (I am sure the Lucasfilm vault has even more goodies than this, by the way. Anytime you want to let me poke around in there, Mr. Sansweet, feel free to give me a call.)
