“City On The Edge of Forever” added to 40th anniversary lineup

TV Land has added first season episode “The City on the Edge of Forever” to its September 8 Star Trek lineup to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first broadcast of the classic series.

Many fans consider “The City on the Edge of Forever” the greatest of all Trek television episodes. Written by Harlan Ellison, the time-travel story features Joan Collins as Edith Keeler–a social worker in 1930’s New York.

Here is the revised TV Land schedule for the Star Trek 40th anniversary special:

8 PM: “The Man Trap” (original air date: September 8, 1966)
9 PM: “The City on the Edge of Forever” (April 6, 1967)
10 PM: “The Trouble With Tribbles” (December 29, 1967)
11 PM: “Plato’s Stepchildren” (November 22, 1968)
(All times Eastern)

Star Trek becomes part of TV Land’s regular schedule in November.
