“Star Trek” beaming to TV Land for 40th

September 8 marks the 40th anniversary of the debut of Star Trek on NBC. It will also mark the debut of Star Trek on Nickelodian’s “TV Land” US cable network.

As a 40th anniversary tribute, TV Land will air three episodes that night–including “The Man Trap” which was the episode that first aired on September 8, 1966.

8 PM: “The Man Trap”
9 PM: “The Trouble With Tribbles”
10 PM: “Plato’s Stepchildren”

TV Land will also add Star Trek to its regular schedule in November, though the show is expected to continue on the G4 network as well.

TV Land is owned by MTV Networks, a division of Viacom. Viacom is the parent company of Paramount, which owns Star Trek.
