“Episode II” breaks $200 million mark, keeps top spot for Memorial Day Weekend

In a record-setting Memorial Day Weekend, Star Wars: Episode II—Attack of the Clones earned $60 million to beat out Spider-Man again for the top spot.

The twelve-day total for Episode II now stands at $201 million. Star Wars: Episode II made more money in only twelve days than the two most recent Star Trek movies made during their entire releases combined (Star Trek: Insurrection, with only $70 million, and Star Trek: First Contact, with $92 million, for a total of $162 million).
